Skiathos

Skiathos
Skiathos is an island located near Volos and belongs to the Northern Sporades. Its distance from Volos, which is the capital of the prefecture of Magnesia, is 41 nautical miles. From the shores of southern Pelion is 2.4 miles. This island has an area of 48 sq. Km. Skiathos is full of greenery and has some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. It is a popular destination that has not lost its glamor over time and indeed has a rich nightlife and lots of parties full of beaches on the island.

Despite the large size of the island, Skiathos has a single settlement, that of the town of Skiathos. The main harbor of the island is located in this settlement while the international airport of Skiathos will be only a few kilometers away.
Flying Cats and Hydrofolis need about 1 hour from the port of Volos to cover the distance as opposed to the port of Agios Konstantinos, starting from which the distance is covered in about 1.5 hours. Ferry boats need 30 minutes more to cover the distance.
